Car Accident?

Does it Matter Who was at Fault?

NO!  In the state of Utah, if you have been in an accident, you have the right to get the care that you need, regardless of who was at fault.

Common Symptoms After an Accident:Female Driver Making Phone Call After Traffic Accident With Head In Hands.

  • Headaches
  • Neck pain or stiffness
  • Shoulder pain
  • Numbness and tingling in your arms or legs
  • Sciatica
  • Back pain or muscle spasms

If you are having one or more of these symptoms, come see us for chiropractic care in Taylorsville, UT!

By state law, every auto policy in Utah is required to have at least $3,000 minimum coverage for your health care needs related to your auto accident.  Don’t let that go to waste!  You won’t pay anything out-of-pocket for treatment related to an auto accident in our clinic.

But won’t the pain go away on it’s own?

The biggest mistake you can make after an accident is waiting before having an evaluation of your injury.  Even if the accident seemed to be very minor, it is common for the bones along your spine to get jammed together and no longer move properly.  Sometimes they can even get stuck in a bad position, leading to pinched nerves and radiating pain or muscle spasms.

It is critical that you have proper chiropractic adjustments throughout the recovery process, which can take several weeks to fully heal.  If your body progresses without making these corrections, it can be very difficult to change it later.

But I really didn’t have any pain after the accident.

Many people feel that the worst part of their pain begins to show up the 2nd or 3rd day after the accident.  Even if there is not much initial discomfort, the stress on your spine and any joints that become stuck or misaligned can start the process of degeneration and lead to arthritis over time, causing more problems for years to come.

But I went to the emergency room and they said I was fine.

It’s always better to be safe than sorry, so if you feel that you need to go to the emergency room, you should certainly go.  Just remember, their primary job is to make sure your life is not at risk.  Once they are reassured that there are no life-threatening injuries, they will often send you on your way without offering any further care.

Many people walk away from that experience feeling discouraged, but this is the best time to schedule an appointment in our clinic.  We’re here to provide a specialized health evaluation to really get the root of your pain or discomfort.

We regularly find a number of injuries and problems needing to be addressed with our patients who were told by the emergency room that everything “seemed fine.”  We specialize in these non life-threatening injuries. If they are ignored, they can continue to cause problems for years to come.
